Sofa Giant Delivery Cost & Lead Times Explained


Once you have placed your order, you will be contacted by one of our team members and be given an estimated delivery date. The estimated delivery date could vary from as soon as the next day, if you’ve ordered a stock item, or up to 8-10 weeks on some items, depending where it’s made. If you do order a stock item & aren’t ready for it straight away, don’t worry; we’ll keep it in our warehouse until you’re ready for it. Should there be any changes due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be kept up-to-date and provided with a revised lead time so you will know when to expect your order.


Once your order arrives with us, we will contact you that very same day to let you know we have it and arrange a convenient date and time for delivery. Again, if you’re still not ready to take delivery, that’s not a problem; we will keep it in our warehouse until you are. Upon booking your delivery date, it is helpful if you provide any information regarding access to the property so our delivery team can come prepared and ensure a seamless process from start to finish.


It's worth noting that before your order is delivered, any outstanding balance must be paid to us in full, or if you have chosen to take out finance on your order with us, then we must have received your signed finance contract. Please note: We can deliver your order to a different address than your home address. Please let us know the alternative delivery address at the point of ordering. However, if you have chosen our snap finance option, the item(s) must be delivered to the address that is given on the application.


We deliver with our own team up to approximately 100 miles from us in Doncaster, DN5 8LU. We can help arrange delivery of items further than this. Please contact us for a quote. Please note, rug delivery is through a third party and is free.


Our standard delivery days are Tuesday to Friday, with two time slots available, between the hours of 8am – 12pm and 12pm - 5pm. Costs are calculated based on distance from our store & warehouse at DN5 8LU. The costs are listed below:

  • What happens on the day of delivery?


    Our supreme delivery team are the best in the business! With years of experience we aim to make delivery as stress-free as possible. The time slot you’ve booked is when to expect delivery & if you’ve requested it, they’ll give you a call with a heads up on when they’ll be arriving.

    Please ensure that all paths and entrances are clear to enable our delivery team to enter the premises safely. Please also remember to move any ornaments or furniture that may limit their access and also any old furniture that your order may be replacing. We can’t take your old furniture away with us, but can take it outside or put it in a garage for example until it’s collected. The cost of this is £10 per item.


    If you need to change your delivery date or time slot, that’s not a problem, but please try to give us as much notice as possible as the van can sometimes be ready to go the night before.

  • What happens if my sofa does not fit when it arrives?


    Whilst most sofas go into homes easily, we always advise that you carefully check all dimensions of your chosen sofa, before purchasing to ensure that your new sofa can fit through any doors, hallways and stairways when delivered. We also ask that you let us know of any issues with access that our delivery team may have beforehand.


    Many of our sofas are delivered in separate sections that can be assembled in your home for ease. However, sometimes occasions can arise whereby your furniture does not fit when delivered due to access. On the rare occasion that this happens, we are happy to rearrange another delivery slot to coincide with a window removal if this is possible with a redelivery charge. Please note, the window removal would need to be arranged by the customer and not our team.

  • What happens if my sofa arrives damaged?


    Our two-person delivery team will take great care with the handling and delivery of your new sofa. Once delivered, it is recommended that you inspect your sofa with the delivery team to ensure you are happy.


    If for any reason you are unhappy with the sofa, please raise these issues with the delivery team. This will then be noted and a member of our team will be in touch with you to talk through your options, such as arranging for one of our local specialist upholsterers to visit your home to inspect the damage. We work closely with all of our suppliers, so would look to rectify any issues speedily.

  • Will Sofa Giant assemble my furniture?


    Yes, all sofas will be unpacked & assembled in your home by our team, unless asked otherwise.
